Catalytic Hydrogenation of Nitrocyclohexane with CuCo/SiO2 Catalysts in Gas and Liquid Flow Reactors

Catalytic hydrogenation of nitrocyclohexane proved to be an attractive alternative source various chemical compounds: cyclohexanone oxime, cyclohexanone, cyclohexanol, cyclohexylamine and dicyclohexylamine. A growing interest in this reaction has been observed the last few years. Herein, we present catalytic performance Cu/SiO2, Co/SiO2 CuCo/SiO2 gas liquid flow hydrogenation. The analysis synthesized catalysts morphology (BET, TPR, XRD, TEM) terms their behavior allows us draw general conclusions determine optimal conditions for production desired products. Application monometallic copper leads formation as main product, but with low activity. On other hand, shows high activity gives cyclohexylamine. Bimetallic system CuCo(3:1)/SiO2 efficient 100% at 5 bar 75 °C.
